Winter Fair 2023
December 9 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm GMT
The garden will be celebrating the season with our annual Winter Fair on Saturday 9th December. This is a community event for local people. Please save the date and spread the word.
This year’s live entertainment will be from local schools’ choirs and our special guest John Hegley with Diego and the Good Fairy.
There will be seasonal activities for all ages- St Nicholas handing out presents to children from his grotto in the woodland; wreath making, mulled wine and mince pies and the ever popular tree decoration competition.
We’ll also have children’s games, a tombola and raffle and wood fired pizza; home made cakes and hot chocolate to keep us all fuelled.
Entry to the garden and a visit to St Nicholas is free. So spread the word among family and friends, particularly those with young children.
The tree decoration competition will take place again this year so encourage friends and family to get creative.
How to take part:
- Make an ornament that can hang on a tree out of doors – the more eye-catching the better
- Complete an Tree Decorating competition entry form and bring it with your ornament to the garden between 9.45 and 10.45
- Hang your ornament on the tree – for all to admire
- Collect your ornament at the end of the fair and take it home to decorate your own tree
Each visitor at the Winter Fair has one vote to cast for their favourite ornament.
Prizes will be awarded in the two categories based on the number of votes
Adults / over 14s
We hope to see you there!
