Making the most of your veg plot in autumn and winter

The workshops will be led by Nat Mady. Nat has been Hackney Herbal for 10 years and community gardening since 2010 and will cover:

● Understanding the transitions from autumn to winter and how to prepare
● Clearing summer beds of old plants
● Soil fertility – mulching, green manures
● Creating habitats for wildlife and encouraging biodiversity
● What to sow in autumn and winter – to keep your plot productive through autumn, winter into spring and early summer
● Tips for composting green waste on site in the garden
This will be the perfect time of year for you to put what you learn into practice and keep growing through autumn and winter.
