Winter Lantern Making Workshop
As nights draw in, we are delighted to be welcoming back artist Cristina Ottonello to lead a winter themed workshop. Cristina will be trying out a new heart design for a lantern to brighten up your home.
Cristina will guide you through making a paper and willow lantern.
The session is messy and may involve the use of sharp tools like scalpel knives.
Cristina, who is a plot holder in the garden, is an Italian-born, London-based artist specialising in outdoor arts, creating spectacular temporary installations for street events, celebrations, festivals, light trails, parks and carnivals. A key part of her practice is participation, making work with communities.
Cristina’s work has been exhibited across the UK and internationally, at venues including the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew and Edinburgh and Southbank Centre and parades like the Boishaki Mela and The Lord Mayor’s Festival.
