Bird Lantern Making Workshop
Take inspiration from the birds in the garden with this lantern making workshops. We are delighted to be welcoming back artist Cristina Ottonello who held a very popular winter themed workshop last November.
Cristina will guide you through making a paper and willow lantern to decorate your home this summer with a bright summer bird lantern. We will take inspiration from the birds in the garden.
The session is messy and may involve the use of sharp tools like scalpel knives.
Cristina, who is a plot holder in the garden, is an Italian-born, London-based artist specialising in outdoor arts, creating spectacular temporary installations for street events, celebrations, festivals, light trails, parks and carnivals. A key part of her practice is participation, making work with communities.
Cristina’s work has been exhibited across the UK and internationally, at venues including the Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew and Edinburgh and Southbank Centre and parades like the Boishaki Mela and The Lord Mayor’s Festival.
